Johnny Appleseed - Nexus Productions (Personal Work)
My new commercial, I had the pleasure to work a couple of weeks ago at Nexus Productions is out.
I was part of an awesome team that produce this commercial.
I was in charge of layout, camera animation / tracking, rotoanimation, character animation.
The production gave me the plate with the live action (the bottle and the glass), after that I 'll start tracking the camera by eyes, we tried with bijou but doesn't work so properly. After having a good tracking, I start animate all the secondary elements, and to clean up also a little bit the bottle and glass to have a proper animation in 3d.
So the AE artist adjusted the animation, following my guide. At the end there was just the last step to attached the 3d hand to the bottle: rotoanimation, it was quiet hard, because at some point the plate was really jumping a lot.
And for sure, I made also the "character animation", for the style of this project (wood style), they gave me 10 poses to switch all the characters according to the music.
Really happy about the final result. I would like to thanks my lead artist / supervisor on this project Florian Caspar.
